Who cares about toys, I have candy

Happy Easter! We had a fun weekend celebrating Easter with friends by attending a wonderful dinner/cookout and Easter egg hunt on Saturday afternoon. Ellie loved being with friends her age and especially loved the fun toys- including a power car- that Cheyenne had at her house. I think what Ellie loved the most was that Cheyenne is too short to make her car go- so, Ellie got to drive.
They had a ball playing and Mason and I really enjoyed hanging out at a house, off campus! It was a fun night. The Easter Egg hunt was fun- Ellie was most concerned about what might be in her eggs versus finding more eggs.
Easter morning was also very exciting. Ellie decided to something she rarely does- she woke up at 5:30am, got in bed with us, and slept until 8am. Church was at 9:30 and we barely made it. The Easter bunny brought Ellie a Dora fun house, sun glasses, and again the most important- CANDY! We even let Ellie splurge a little and have some before church.



We really enjoyed church, Ellie loved going to nursery and they sang my favorite hymn at the end of the service- Lift High the Cross. It was a wonderful day. We decided to walk downtown and have brunch as a family. We all really enjoyed our brunch and headed home for a relaxing day. Ellie enjoyed being "cool" in her new glasses and looking super cute in her dress! Every time she walked past her basket she cried if she didn't get to eat something out of it- so, needless to say, it is out of sight out of mind now!
